A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer who is appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of an abused or neglected child in juvenile court proceedings.

Children in foster care need someone who can promote and protect their best interests.
It is well known that our child welfare system is many times too overwhelmed to effectively care for children taken out of the home due to abuse or neglect. Advo-Kids CASA trains volunteers who want to serve in the Fayette and Spalding County community, by preparing them to gather information about a child's situation. Then the volunteer can make a recommendation to the judge to help the court make a sound decision about the child's future.
Have you Ever Thought . . .?
"I'd like to help abused and neglected children, but I'm not in a place in my life where I can adopt or mentor."
Advo-Kids CASA can help you to respond to your passion for children by showing you how to advocate for deprived children in our juvenile court system. By giving a child a voice in court, children are receiving better resources, spending less time in foster care, and finding a permanent loving home. By ensuring a child's most basic needs are met, you can help set the tone for a successful future.
